Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions regulate the customer order at Wakefield Enterprises (Pty) Ltd trading as ‘Wakefield Fine Furniture’.
We will endeavour to deliver on the date and time advised. While we are committed to deliver on time, the actual delivery date is subject to prevailing circumstances and may be subject to variation.
Lead Time on our furniture is 4-6 weeks, unless advised otherwise on your invoice. Orders placed are irrevocable once a deposit has been paid. In the event of Wakefield agreeing to refund monies paid either prior to or post-delivery due to circumstances unrelated to product quality or lead times, and If Wakefield agrees to accept return of any goods, the Customer will be liable for a 10% handling charge calculated on the purchase price of those goods. The onus of proof of return and proof of purchase rests with the customer at all times.
Ownership of the goods will rest with Wakefield until payment has been received in full. Payment of the full value of the order is required before we delivery or before we can release goods for collection.
If after 30 days of notification Wakefield that your goods are ready for delivery, you as the customer fail to make final payment, We reserve the right to sell them to defray expenses.
Sale items sold off the floor and cannot be exchanged or returned.
Leather is a natural animal substance and may differ slightly from the sample that you have seen Sometimes different batches can be up to 20% light or darker than sample originally seen, in the event of the batch being more than 50% lighter or darker we will contact the client to view, and possibly change your color. It may also contain natural markings, tick bites, scratches, etc.This does not mean the leather is flawed, it only adds to the character and beauty of the hide. Keep all liquids, chemicals and cleaning detergents away from your leather furniture. Use only approved leather oils or dubbin for maintenance
Always test any leather treatment on a small area of your couch first to make sure it doesn’t discolor. They have been tanned without altering any of their natural features. This is why all the distinctive original markings stand out. This is the living proof of the leather’s absolute natural origins – healed scars and scar tissues, grain variation, colouration, veining and other markings which nature placed on these hides. These are all signs of the inherent value of leather.

2 Year guarantee on High Density Foam only, stitching and webbing.
2 Year guarantee on leather (This merely covers any kinds of peeling, which shouldn’t happen to genuine leather, this excludes malicious damage to these goods, for example cuts, sun damage cat scratches etc.
